We are looking for a new team member! As Senior Project Manager (Estates), you will be working as part of a highly skilled and supportive team, driving exciting and sustainable change across our vital estate in England and Wales. This role is being offered as a 24 month fixed term contract; 35 hours per week; Monday - Friday. We do live by our hybrid working model at the RSPCA. We have office hubs in Blackfriars, London and Horsham, West Sussex. You are able to work from home and to travel to the offices for key collaboration. Due to the nature of this role, including occasional travel to multiple locations across England and Wales, a drivers license would be helpful but not essential. Local access to East Midlands/Cambridgeshire or North West would be beneficial.

What a day might look like for you: As one of our Senior Project Managers (Estate), you will be responsible for leading one or more projects in the Estate Transformation Programme. An exciting national Programme, working to provide new sector leading facilities in areas of high demand, bringing together our expert teams, our Branches, partners and communities to create a holistic approach to animal welfare. The role of Senior Project Manager within the RSPCA is varied; working on the Estate Transformation Programme you will be delivering change; enabling our teams to deliver the best long term outcome for animals. This role will involve driving changes to estate provision, people, processes and ways of working to improve overall performance and achieve strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience in estate transformation and managing projects through all project life cycle phases; with exceptional stakeholder management, engagement and governance experience and skills. You will also control and report on project deliverables, progress against milestones, budget, resources, risks and issues in accordance with the project governance framework that we already have in place. You will be focused on continuous improvement and on delivering projects within the agreed timescales and budgets. The projects you will manage will be significant in scale and business impact, and there may be a requirement to manage a number of projects concurrently.

What will help you succeed in this role: To succeed within this role, it is essential that you have proven estate development and delivery experience working on projects worth between £2m to £20m. Working with internal and external stakeholder groups, across a variety of areas of expertise. We are keen to receive applications from those with a Project Management qualification, such as Prince, APM or equivalent. You must have proven relationship building skills, particularly with key senior stakeholders, and a collaborative approach. You must be comfortable working in an environment where priorities and timescales are subject to change and you must be able to work on a number of projects at one time, often with conflicting priorities.

As this is a really important time for transformation at the RSPCA, we are unfortunately not in a position to offer this role as a development opportunity, instead, we are looking for a Project Manager that has previously or is currently working at this level and has significant experience of delivering change.
