Base pay range
We are looking for a new team member as Head of Change Portfolio Office within our Strategy and Transformation department to enable, engage with and support change across the RSPCA.
- Contract – Permanent
- Working hours: 35 hours per week- Monday to Friday.
- Hybrid role: your base will be at our London or Horsham office and you will also work from home.

We\’re looking for an exceptional Head of Change Portfolio Office to join the RSPCA\’s Strategy & Transformation team. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring our diverse change initiatives are delivered effectively, on time, within cost, and to the highest quality standards.
You\’ll work closely with the Assistant Director of the Change Portfolio and other leaders across the RSPCA, driving strategic alignment and the successful delivery of change. A crucial part of your role will be in business planning, making sure change initiatives are identified, prioritised, and governed from start to finish.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic leader passionate about driving impactful change. You\’ll manage our dedicated Change Portfolio Office team, overseeing service delivery using a mix of agile and waterfall approaches to facilitate and govern our entire change portfolio.
We need a highly skilled and experienced professional with proven expertise in:
- Leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, coaching them to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Influencing and advising senior leaders, executives, and stakeholders, including facilitating discussions, resolving conflict, and making decisions.
- Overseeing and driving the delivery of complex strategic initiatives.
- Modern project, programme, and portfolio methodologies and governance frameworks, including agile.
- Implementing robust governance structures and risk management processes.
- Data-driven decision making, strong commercial acumen, financial planning, and optimising resource allocation.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to executive and board levels.
