Base pay range
We are looking for two new team members as Change Portfolio Managers within our Strategy and Transformation directorate to enable, engage with and support change across the RSPCA.
- Contract – Permanent
- Working hours: 35 hours per week- Monday to Friday.
- Hybrid role: your base will be at our London or Horsham office and you will also work from home and other RSPCA offices.

As Change Portfolio Manager, you\’ll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing expert insights and recommendations to drive strategic initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. You\’ll lead the successful delivery of the change portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the target operating model.
This role will involve:
- Driving Strategic Initiatives: Overseeing the successful delivery of strategic initiatives within the change portfolio.
- Portfolio Prioritization & Resource Allocation: Providing expert insights and recommendations on portfolio prioritization and resource allocation to senior leaders.
- Process Improvement: Leading continuous process improvements and best practices in portfolio, program, and project management to enhance agility and operational resilience.
- Influencing & Collaboration: Influencing multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless execution of change initiatives, managing risks and dependencies, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Reporting & KPIs: Designing and implementing lean reporting cycles, offering strategic insights to all stakeholders, and establishing and tracking KPIs to measure portfolio success. You\’ll also analyze financial and resource allocation to provide data for effective leadership discussions and decision-making.
The post holder must have proven experience of change portfolio governance with a focus on benefits and impact management.
Applicants must have strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, process optimization, and data driven decision making skills.
To succeed within this role you must be able to demonstrate that you have extensive experience in strategic portfolio, programme and/or project management and change delivery.
You will have a proven ability to influence multi disciplinary teams through complex matrix structures and will be key to the seamless execution of change initiatives, effectively managing risks and dependencies.
The successful applicant will also have strong communication skills and will be familiar with modern project methodologies, including Agile.
Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Interviews will be held remotely and will involve competency based interview questions and a presentation.
