Could your finance skills help make a real difference to animal welfare in West Dorset? RSPCA West Dorset is currently looking for a volunteer Branch Treasurer to join our passionate Board of Trustees. This is an exciting opportunity to use your financial experience to help support Taylor’s Rehoming Centre near Dorchester, where we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome cats, rabbits and small animals in need.

As Branch Treasurer, you would help oversee the charity’s financial governance, budgeting and reporting, while supporting the long‑term sustainability of the branch and its three charity shops. The role works alongside a paid Finance Officer who manages the day‑to‑day financial administration.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with:

  • Finance or accounting experience
  • An understanding of budgeting and financial controls
  • Ideally previous charity finance or Treasurer experience
  • A passion for supporting a local cause

Location: Based around West Dorset / East Devon

Time commitment: Approx. 5–10 hours per month

Full trustee training and ongoing support provided
