Are you an energetic, organised people‑person with a passion for retail and animal welfare? We’re looking for a committed Deputy Shop Manager to support the smooth and successful running of our much‑loved RSPCA Little Valley charity shop in Brixham. This is your chance to play a key role in raising essential funds for Little Valley Animal Shelter, which costs over £1 million a year to run. Every item sold directly supports the rescue, care and rehoming of animals in need – and you’ll be at the heart of making that happen.

What you’ll be doing

  • Driving sales, meeting targets and helping maximise profits
  • Leading, motivating and supporting a dedicated team of volunteers
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and a welcoming shop environment
  • Managing stock generation, rotation, pricing and presentation
  • Maintaining high standards of merchandising, window displays and housekeeping
  • Opening and closing the shop as a keyholder
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, trading standards and charity retail policy
  • Stepping in to cover the Shop Manager during holidays or sickness
