RSPCA Bolton Clinic is looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team.
About the Role
We are seeking an RVN with experience in charity veterinary practice who understands the unique challenges and rewards of working within the charity sector.
The successful candidate will be involved in providing high-quality veterinary care to animals whose owners may be experiencing financial difficulties, as well as supporting our wider animal welfare work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing excellent nursing care to a high standard.
- Assisting veterinary surgeons and students with consultations, procedures and surgery.
- Anaesthetic monitoring and inpatient care.
- Supporting surgical and dental procedures.
- Maintaining high standards of infection control and clinical hygiene.
- Providing compassionate and professional advice to clients.
- Supporting the wider clinic team with training and the day-to-day running of the practice.
- Helping to promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
- Working as part of a small friendly, supportive and dedicated charity team.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a fully qualified and RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Has previous experience working within charity veterinary practice.
- Has excellent clinical and communication skills.
- Is compassionate, patient and understanding with both animals and their owners.
- Is able to work effectively as part of a busy team.
- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently when required.
- Has a genuine passion for animal welfare.
- Is keen to contribute ideas and help develop our veterinary services.
