Salary: £27,123.00 - £28,956.00 Per Annum

Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

This vacancy offers a chance to immerse yourself in a charity creative team for 12 months and gain copywriting skills across a range of channels and audiences.

You will gain transferable skills in:

The successful candidate will be a skilled and creative writer, demonstrated through experience including coursework, volunteering or community groups, or personal endeavours.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing for a range of audiences and channels, using RSPB brand tone of voice
  • Bringing complex ideas to life in a clear and engaging manner
  • Working collaboratively to solve communications challenges

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Excellent writing skills and basic understanding of editorial and marketing copy
  • Ability to consider the needs of different audiences
  • Experience of creating content on a variety of different channels, including web, email and social media
  • Good team-working skills with a practical approach, happy to pick up work from others in the team
  • Communication skills and the ability to take a complex idea and distil it into copy that is easy to understand and makes people take action
  • Able to show initiative and problem-solve

Desirable:

  • Keen interest in nature and issues affecting the environment
