Key Responsibilities
- Work under a project leader and be responsible for the mechanical services design development in accordance with project objectives.
- Work competently on an independent basis or as part of a wider team and be responsible for reporting to senior staff.
- Communicate directly with clients and other design team members, including attendance at meetings.
- Undertake the preparation on calculations and comprehensive design associated with M&E Building installations.
- Manage your own workload and support a team of technicians to suit project deadlines and requirements.
- Prepare concept and preliminary engineering solutions for design.
- Prepare technical reports, documents and specifications.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with other design team members.
- Be actively involved in compliance with RSP Business Management Systems.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with mechanical services design on a varying range of projects.
- Good and confident communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant industry design software (i.e. NBS, IES, Bentley Hevacomp or similar).
- AutoCAD and Revit Experience.
Requirements
- Preferably working towards being or Degree qualified and working towards CIBSE membership.
- 5 years + relevant experience.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to do overtime, when and if required.
- Must be prepared to travel within the UK. This may involve early morning starts, late finishes and occasionally overnight stays.
