Our Tax Technology team is a dynamic and fast-paced team, offering ample scope for progression and the chance to make a significant impact on RSM nationally, with potential to influence on a global scale driving the digital transformation within the Tax business. As a Tax Technology Associate Director in one of our national offices, you will be joining a fast-paced, passionate, and ambitious team of tax technology professionals. You will have the opportunity to work at a strategic level including playing an active role in designing future roadmaps, solution architecture, resource allocation, governance and launch processes across our Tax business.
As a leading member of the team, you will take primary responsibility for the delivery of client proposals and relationships with a focus on large global accounts, as well as leading a team of Tax Technology colleagues and overseeing client project delivery across technology implementation services, bespoke data and AI solutions consultancy/deployment, Pillar Two technology deployment and SaaS product delivery. The role offers high levels of autonomy and reports directly to the Tax Technology Partner team.
You will make an impact by:
- Delivering complex and wide-ranging technology projects and managing product delivery.
- Working directly with, and forming part of the tax technology leadership team, playing a pivotal role in the continued development of our technology service offering within our Tax business.
- Demonstrating team leadership for our technology team with primary focus on tax products and tax data consulting.
- Being market facing and playing an important role in delivering on client RFP exercises as well as tax technology proposals.
- Developing an advanced level of technical knowledge through personal development opportunities.
- Collaborating with colleagues developing business development materials and website content to accurately communicate how the technology solutions you design and deliver will benefit our client experience.

- A background in the deployment of tax technology and tax technology consulting within a comparable business.
- Good understanding of core tax processes, including corporation tax compliance matters.
- Strong track record of customer relationship management.
- Awareness of pricing, marketing, cost, support and incident response models for both SaaS products and bespoke technology solutions.
- Appreciation of risk control and mitigation procedures, including on a support basis for SaaS products and the interaction of tax technology solutions with audit independence regulations.
- Experience of applying governance models to ensure safe and effective implementations.
- Strong communication skills in all business media.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Willingness to work and help others at all levels on a project, an appreciation of when to delegate and when to roll up your sleeves and ‘get stuck in’.
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge of data flows within tax processes.
- Strong ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Awareness of wider tax technology environment, emerging technologies and client needs.

Requirements:
- Tax technology project delivery experience – gained within a professional services environment.
- Experience and knowledge of tax compliance processes.
- Technical competency and awareness in Alteryx, Power BI, SQL databases, data security, AI.
- Awareness of available solutions and systems to facilitate the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services.
- Risk management experience in the delivery of technology solutions.
- Experience in the delivery of client proposals and RFPs.
- Experience of leading client accounts.
- Alteryx certification (ideally Advanced or Expert).
- Tax Technology qualification or similar (DITT, etc).
- Experience of Power BI or other data visualisation products.
- Experience in developing technologies (AI, ML, RPA, etc).
