Join our team at RSM UK as a Project Manager (E-Invoicing) and play a pivotal role in shaping our VAT compliance services across the UK, EU, and beyond. You’ll be at the heart of a dynamic team, ensuring quality and efficiency in tax reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients.
As a Project Manager (E-Invoicing) in one of our national offices, you will oversee and manage the end-to-end process of coordinating new client engagements, client onboarding and ongoing compliance delivery. This position demands exceptional organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously, and strong communication skills. Additionally, you will understand broad technology concepts such as different data formats, files and types, data manipulation, date entry, XML layout/interpretation, API integration, and base to intermediate tech understanding.
Responsibilities
- Be the primary point of contact for new client engagements, most notably from an e-invoicing perspective.
- Coordinate and support throughout the lifecycle of an e-invoicing implementation.
- Track and report client deadlines, ensuring on-time delivery and premium service is continually delivered.
- Understand client needs and expectations, acting promptly to resolve matters.
- Support the wider team by gathering technical requirements and developing solutions for e-invoicing and digital reporting tailored to client needs.
- Liaise with external service providers to implement appropriate technical solutions for clients and act as a technological interpreter between service provider and client/wider team.
- Interpret and understand the layout of XML files to support troubleshooting problems.
- Maintain a consistently accurate understanding of e-invoicing mandates and legislative updates.
- Complete comprehensive analysis of digital reporting and e-invoicing requirements for businesses in the form of assessments and reports.
What we are looking for
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Project Management experience.
- Experience of working within the professional services sector.
- Experience of working within e-invoicing solution delivery, with an interest in working within the digital reporting arena.
- Exposure to accounting principles and/or VAT Compliance and systems is not essential but useful.
- Experience working with large datasets in various data formats (XML, delimited files) across multiple projects.
- Line management experience is preferred but not essential.
