The International Assurance Services team are looking for a Principal Consultant with specific experience of internal audit, to join the team working on a range of clients including UK and international governments, donors, public sector bodies, charities and INGOs.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Being a team player, by having a ‘can do’ attitude and being able to understand that the best solutions come from collaboration, exchanges of ideas and resilience.
- Successfully conducting assignments internationally, whilst being prepared to work away from home occasionally (approx. 10% of the time).
- Working with our public-sector and not-for-profit clients both in the UK and overseas.
- Being adaptable, proactive and a self-starter.
- Potentially being seconded to a UK government department auditing major change programmes or auditing beneficiary data on a cash transfer programme for both economically challenged countries/states or economically strong nations.

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
- IIA/ACA qualification (ACA, ACCA, CMIIA etc.)
- Fluent and able to conduct assignments in a second language preferably French.
- Eligible to undergo UK Government security clearance.
- Robust, post qualification experience.
- Level 7 education, ideally a master’s degree.
- Experience of internal audit in the UN or central government / public sector.
- Experience of fraud / procurement / donor grants / financial systems.
- Experience working in/with the international not-for-profit sectors.
- Able to undertake overseas travel (around 2-3 trips a year).
- Experience of institutional grant budget proposal development, compliance, monitoring and reporting.
