M&A Associate Director

We are searching for an experienced M&A Associate Director.

Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM\’s current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

At the heart of Consulting are six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. These solutions create an tailored approach to support our clients\’ strategic goals and empower our people to make an impact and develop their careers.

As part of the RSM Corporate Finance Faculty\’s growth objectives, we are looking for an Associate Director to join the team. This role is key to strengthening our Corporate Finance capabilities, particularly in execution and origination, aligning with our growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leading engagement processes from start to finish.
2. Leading deal teams and supporting local team management.
3. Liaising with clients, target businesses, and professional advisors during transactions.
4. Overseeing the production of deal documentation such as IMs, Teasers, and Buyer Research packs.
5. Researching, preparing, and supporting presentations and sales pitches for new business.
6. Building relationships with potential clients and intermediaries (private equity, banks, corporates).
7. Leading origination efforts.

Candidate Profile

Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can identify inefficiencies and are passionate about improvements, this role is ideal for you!

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Our ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification.
• 3-5 years PQE in M&A.
• Experience on buy-side, sell-side, and finance raising.
• Strong numerical, financial, and modelling skills with a solid understanding of financial statements.
