We are searching for an experienced Special Situations M&A Manager.

Make an Impact at RSM UK. RSM Corporate Finance is currently seeking dynamic and motivated Manager to work in Special Situations M&A. RSM’s Special Situations Group is a partner-led team that integrates expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and restructuring to deliver tailored solutions for businesses navigating significant change or financial distress. Supporting both sell-side and buy-side stakeholders, the team works with corporates, lenders, and other financial stakeholders across the UK and globally, providing dynamic transaction support to achieve optimal outcomes.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Assisting in preparing high-quality marketing materials, including IMs and teasers, to support Special Situation transactions.
  • Analysing operational performance and profitability to develop actionable reports and recommendations for underperforming businesses.
  • Working closely with senior personnel and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication throughout engagements.
  • Project managing the delivery of engagements and reports to a high standard.
  • Assisting in the preparation of pitch documents and materials.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication and report-writing skills. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, a willingness to take on responsibility, and a collaborative approach to working in a dynamic team environment.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Excellent report writing / drafting and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to review data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Either an ACA with a minimum 1-year post qualification experience.

Desirable:

  • A background in either M&A / transactions or Restructuring.
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Financial analysis capabilities.
