Make an Impact at RSM UK Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering in excess of £200m revenue. At the heart of Consulting are the six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Our solutions create an enhanced tailored approach to support our clients in achieving their strategic goals and empower our people to make an impact and develop their own unique career path.
We are looking for an Associate Director to join our London office, who is passionate about developing business with new clients and has experience of coaching and developing teams. Acting for clients across a range of industries including consumer, technology, financial services and PE backed entities, you will build effective relationships with Partners and Directors to lead as a trusted advisor to a wealth of clients.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Leading the delivery of accounting and financial reporting services on a portfolio of clients, whilst working alongside other service lines and reporting to the Client Relationship Partners on matters of additional advisory and client care.
- Actively participating in business development, working with the Partner Group on business plans and participating in targeting and lead generation.
- Managing the working capital of projects, including budgeting, cost management, billing and debt recoverability.
- Managing relevant AFR teams’ performance, ensuring appropriate objectives set and development plans in place for junior members.
What we are looking for:

- Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with experience in managing a portfolio of clients.
- Complex UK GAAP reporting including group reorganisations and consolidations.
- An in-depth working knowledge of IFRS reporting and the impact of the Periodic Review 2024 in UK GAAP.
- Passion for business development and building relationships with both internal and external contacts.
- Experience as a Line Manager with advanced coaching and development skills.
- Proven ability to quickly build rapport with client principals and colleagues.
