With a new advisory service offering for our corporate sector (excluding financial services) in relation to risk, compliance and regulation, we are looking for an Assistant Director to join our team. The postholder will be an enthusiastic team player, interested in legal compliance. This is a brand-new role reporting to the Partner leading the service offering. You will have direct client contact, be involved in delivering projects, bidding for new work and supporting the development of thought pieces.
The role will provide variety as well as an opportunity to continue to learn, develop and progress. If you are pragmatic and practical, with a keen eye for detail, and enjoy building relationships with clients, this role could be a good fit.
Responsibilities
- Deliver projects to a high standard, within time and budget.
- Design, implement and assess Enterprise Risk Management frameworks.
- Assess, design, implement and improve governance arrangements.
- Provide insightful, pragmatic and risk-based recommendations to our clients.
- Manage and develop relationships across new and existing clients and also within the firm, including attending and presenting at client meetings and networking events where appropriate.
- Support the Partners / Directors in key business development activities for new work, including targeting, writing proposals, presentations and thought leadership.
- Stay up to date with developments in compliance, enterprise risk management and regulation.
What we are looking for
- A relevant degree, or legal, accounting or risk management certification.
- Significant experience in risk management either in-house or in practice.
- Excellent written skills with strong levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the firm and build excellent working relationships with clients.
- A collaborative approach with strong team-working abilities and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
