We are searching for an experienced Accounting and Financial Reporting Assistant Manager.

Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering over £200m revenue. At the heart of Consulting are the six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Finance Function Support team in London, to assist managers to profitably deliver Accounting and Financial Reporting work across a portfolio of corporate clients. This role will include complex financial reporting and consolidations and progress to managing a small portfolio of clients.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Acting as day-to-day point of contact for clients and practising the principles of excellent client service at all times.
  • Planning assignments in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures and confirming arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
  • Ensuring that assignments are undertaken in accordance with instructions, and carrying out complex aspects of the assignment efficiently, thoroughly and in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
  • Managing a small portfolio of corporate clients within the agreed internal budget for the job and addressing any material points identified on assignments with the team.

What we are looking for:

  • To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills and experience must include:
  • ACA / ACCA qualified.
  • A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience of UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting in group scenarios.
  • Production of consolidation workbooks.
  • Some experience of working within a finance function/department would also be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of CCH or similar professional accounts preparation packages.
