At RSM, the Consulting technical team is looking for an Assistant Manager or experienced Supervisor to support on a variety of Consulting wide projects with a particular focus on Finance Function Support. This is a 6‑12 month secondment position.

Make an Impact at RSM UK. The role will involve collaborating across Consulting (focus on FFS) on technical accounting tasks, systems, reviews and queries. Collaboration across all levels and areas of FFS will help you develop and leverage your existing network, crucial to your success. The role will be varied, requiring the proven ability to handle multiple tasks and a willingness to be curious, challenge and help others navigate change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the FFS teams to deliver and update technical solutions that meet legislative, best practice and internal requirements to deliver a premium service.
  • Assisting with the design, development, implementation and support of new and current systems (CCH, MapIT, Cirrus, Alteryx, Pentana etc.), this will include but not be limited to:
    • Setting priorities and assessing business cases of proposed solutions.
    • Defining business processes to assist in delivering automated solutions.
    • Assisting with the creation and implementation of internally developed solutions.
    • Training the FFS team on best practice and collating feedback for future developments.
    • Assisting with the maintenance of current solutions, such as Cirrus library updates, CCH masterpack updates and changes to the RSM standard mapping charts.
    • Participating in, and arranging, user testing to ensure the solutions ultimately meet the business’s needs.
    • Providing support to the FFS teams via ServiceNow tickets.
    • Supporting the technical query service via Freshservice, including analysing query patterns to design knowledge articles that meet common issues.
    • Actively keeping abreast of key publications and emerging issues, gathering content for internal communications.
    • Assisting with the creation of, or providing technical input to, procedural, policy and training documents and intranet articles.
    • Overseeing the maintenance of quality and risk registers (e.g. AI register).
    • Participating in wider consulting technical projects, bringing insight and support to key initiatives.

  • Experienced user of MapIT with an interest in improving usage across FFS.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and projects.
  • Curious and questioning mindset with ability to see through issues to the best possible resolution.
  • Experience embedding new approaches within the team and championing change.
  • Manage projects to ensure delivery of own work within agreed timeframes.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work with and consult with all levels of the firm and a willingness to grow your network.
  • Ability to write clearly, thoughtfully, and dynamically for various audiences.
  • Recent appraisal rating of 3 or higher.
