We are searching for an experienced Assistant - Company Secretarial. Make an impact at RSM UK. Our Finance Function Support team is a fast-growing national service line, dedicated to helping private businesses across the UK manage their finance operations more effectively. As part of this team, you’ll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking group that supports clients with their day-to-day finance needs, compliance, and strategic growth.
You will be a key member of the growing Company Secretarial national team, with a focus on private businesses within the UK. As an Assistant, you will support the wider team and management team to effectively deliver work across a portfolio of SME corporate clients. The opportunity to undergo training to develop a career as a chartered governance professional will be available for the right candidate. With the department experiencing rapid growth, you’ll also collaborate with colleagues across different service lines and offices throughout the UK, while supporting your local office.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Supporting SME clients with their company secretarial compliance needs.
- Providing routine company secretarial support to a portfolio of selected client companies, including maintenance of statutory registers on Diligent Entities, preparation and filing of the annual Confirmation Statement, preparation and filing of documentation relating to transactions categorised as Level 1 and, in due course, progressing to those transactions categorised as Level 2 under supervision.
- Incorporating new companies and drafting documents to attend to post-incorporation formalities.
- Managing work in progress and billing, under supervision, in respect of your allocated client portfolio and as requested by the management team from time to time.
- Providing administrative support to the team, including Companies House filings, lodging documents with HMRC Stamp Office and helping to ensure that our clients comply with the Companies Act 2006.

- Education to at least A Level standard or equivalent, with level 5 or higher grade GCSE English Language and Maths.
- Ability to work on one’s own initiative and as part of a team.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience of Microsoft Office (with high competency in both Word and Excel).
