Working within a larger team, you will ensure accurate and timely outsourced payroll production for various clients in accordance with statutory regulations.
You will have previous payroll experience with a keen eye for detail and enjoy working within a team. This role will be varied, and you will work with numerous clients so there is a strong focus on client relationships and customer care.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Ensuring accurate and timely payroll end‑to‑end production for various clients in accordance with statutory regulations within payroll deadlines and requirements.
- Servicing multiple clients as part of a team effort to deliver excellent service to our clients.
- Managing payroll deadlines and requirements of your own personal portfolio of payroll clients
- Managing import/export of new employee and timesheet data onto the payroll platform, including:
- Starters
- Leavers
- Absences and work plans
- Variations and adjustments
- Salary changes
- Changes to benefits and allowances and different contract types
- Child Care Voucher schemes
- Pension deductions
- Processing statutory payments.
- Generating payroll reports, P45s etc., using our in‑house systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Distributing payslips to multiple platforms.
- Submitting reports to HMRC via RTI.
- Managing client billing.
What we are looking for:
- Previous payroll experience; a good understanding of payroll deadlines and requirements
- Demonstrable understanding of UK tax legislation.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Ability to prioritise workloads.
- Knowledge of month‑end and year‑end returns and balancing.
- Ability to perform manual calculations, as and when required.
- Excellent attention to detail and clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrable experience of working to strict deadlines.
- An ability to work independently and as part of the wider team.
- Ability to develop strong relationship with clients / support of clients.
