We are searching for an experienced Commercial Finance Assistant
Make an Impact at RSM UK
We are looking for a Commercial Finance Assistant to join the Commercial Finance team, which is part of the internal National Finance Office in Preston.
The role will involve data manipulation, financial reporting and analysis, the interpretation and provision of insight, along with aspects of financial administration in support of the Commercial Finance operation. It will also include involvement in the month end reporting cycle and the annual budgeting process.
You\'ll make an impact by:

  • Applying business understanding to enable improved operational performance to be delivered within the business service lines through the production of accurate and meaningful management information with an appropriate layer of insight
  • Building excellent working relationships with appropriate stakeholders and particularly with other members of the Commercial Finance team
  • Assisting the Commercial Finance Lead in supporting the firm\'s service line heads, helping to drive performance improvement in areas such as:
  • Financial-related working practices
  • Efficient use of resources
  • Profitability on jobs
  • Working capital management

What we are looking for:

  • A-Level or equivalent qualifications including GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English or with some equivalent accountancy qualification or experience
  • IT proficient with strong MS Excel skills
  • A credible individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritise own workload effectively
