You will be a key member of the growing Business Performance & Insights (BPI) national team, primarily supporting privately owned businesses across the Northern region. As an Assistant Manager, you will support Managers and the wider team in delivering a high‑quality, insight‑led service to a portfolio of SME clients. This includes overseeing core finance processes such as bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT compliance, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned to client needs. You will also play a key role in translating financial data into meaningful insights, helping clients understand performance, strengthen decision‑making, and drive improved business outcomes, moving beyond compliance to a more value‑driven, forward‑looking service.
The fast growth of the department will create opportunities to develop further skill sets including business development and coaching of junior staff. It will also present an opportunity to expand your internal network and work with a variety of colleagues and service lines across the UK, as well as supporting your local office. A strong understanding of UK GAAP accounting principles is essential.
