We are looking for an Assistant who will assist team members within our Accounting and Financial Reporting team in Preston or Stoke. You’ll make an impact by:
- Preparing annual financial statements for a range of entity types, both in variety and size, including the preparation of financial statements for audit.
- Conducting analytical reviews incorporating variance analysis on all account’s preparations.
- Recognising when information provided by the client is incomplete and inaccurate and taking steps to rectify this.
- Attending client site or client meetings as required.
- Maintaining contact with the Supervisor/Manager ensuring they are fully informed of findings arising from the work undertaken, so that any problems can be satisfactorily resolved.
- Ensuring that timescales and deadlines set down are achieved, seeking advice regarding the resolution of issues and problems as appropriate.
- Attending staff meetings and training as required.
- Carrying out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the role and its grading, as requested by the line manager or Head of Department.

- Enthusiastic – keen to develop and a self‑motivated and able to show initiative.
