The Tax Digital Services team is dynamic and fast‑paced, offering scope for progression and the chance to make a significant impact on RSM nationally, with potential to influence on a global scale in driving the digital transformation within the Tax business. RSM Tax Digital Services is our client‑facing tax technology group, designed to deliver bespoke and innovative solutions including technology consulting, SaaS and co‑sourcing offerings. We are hiring an Assistant Manager in our ‘data pipeline and platform delivery’ capability group. Working in London, Birmingham or Chelmsford you will play a pivotal role in supporting the continued development and deployment of client‑focused solutions. You will be key in the end‑to‑end delivery of multiple tax technology and automation solutions, working closely with specialist data analytics and implementation service teams to deliver high‑quality, technically robust outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the ongoing deployment of the RSM Tax InSight global compliance management platform and other client solutions.
- Map and deploy data pathways within the system, set up new client environments, populate and customise large volumes of client database records for action tracking.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and provide ad‑hoc client support.
- Serve as a visible system specialist on client engagement teams, demonstrating communication and organisational skills.
- Train and upskill junior team members in data analytics and automation technologies.
- Support commercial deployment of technology‑enhanced tools and solutions across all tax service lines.
- Apply customer service skills with colleagues and clients alike.

Requirements
Essential
- Proven ability to work well with clients and meet their needs.
- Experience and knowledge of tax compliance processes and interaction with data from Financial Reporting or ERP systems.
- Practical knowledge of technology support structures and risk management frameworks.
- Experience with relational database design best practice.
- Familiarity with Agile development.
- Experience with data infrastructure and incident response processes.
- Familiarity with data analytics solutions and processes.
- Awareness of data acquisition methods (SFTP, API, etc).
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualisation products.
- Awareness of AI solutions and technologies, with willingness to learn more.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Fabric, etc.
Desirable
- ATT or equivalent technical qualification.
- DITT or other relevant tax technology qualification.
- Alteryx qualification.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- A Data Analytics and/or Data Science background.
- Experience developing technologies (AI, ML, RPA, etc).
- Knowledge of common Reporting or ERP systems.
