We are searching for an experienced Audit Technical Senior Manager to make an impact in our Audit Technical Team at RSM UK. Our National Audit Technical Services (NATS) is responsible for maintaining and driving the technical quality of the audit firm's operational procedures, providing technical support to partners and staff on technical accounting and financial reporting matters, and conducting quality control reviews. We need to expand our financial reporting and audit technical teams to meet growth, provide technical accounting support, ensure quality, identify efficiencies, and lead on implementing financial reporting changes. This is an exciting time to join as a Technical Senior Manager and be part of our journey! This role can be based out of any UK office, with some travel expected to regional offices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a financial reporting specialist on complex audits, supporting high audit quality
- Performing second opinion reviews of technical accounting matters under IFRS and UK GAAP
- Assisting with financial and non-financial reporting consultations
- Drafting internal technical communications and practice aids
- Supporting client-facing Partners and staff with technical queries locally and nationwide
Candidate requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Experience as a Manager or Senior Manager in a technical team preferred; experience in audit methodology considered
- Strong IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge
- Experience reviewing UK listed entities' financial statements for compliance
- Excellent communication skills
