We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions – we have a clear goal to become the premium adviser to the middle market, globally. This vision touches everything we do, motivating and inspiring us to become better every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.
This role provides the opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to join our growing Accounting, Insight and Advisory (AIA) team, part of our Finance Function Support solution. The AIA team provides accounting solutions, alongside innovative financial insights and process/system optimisation. We seek to enhance efficiency, drive growth and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Our client base is a mixture of entities and sizes, including corporates, owner managed businesses and not-for-profit entities. We work with family businesses, entrepreneurial businesses, owner managed businesses and scaling businesses.
A significant part of the role is contributing towards business development. An Associate Director will be given the time, coaching and support to grow the firm through identifying opportunities, introducing new clients and participating in broader multi-service line pitches. The role is a senior position within the AIA team, contributing to the strategic planning, growth and smooth running of the department/office operationally and financially. An important aspect of the role is the active coaching and development of the more junior members of the team.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Leading the delivery of AIA services on a portfolio of clients and to work alongside other service lines and report into the Client Relationship Partner on matters of additional advisory and client care.
- Managing the working capital of the above services including budgeting, cost management, billing and debt recoverability.
- Ensuring resource is planned effectively and team members are briefed appropriately to deliver services and projects to clients in line with RSM’s quality guidelines and procedures.
- Actively coaching and developing more junior team members. This includes acting as a line manager and performing staff appraisals and overseeing and reviewing work completed by managers, supervisors and assistants.
- Actively participating in business development. An Associate Director is expected to contribute to growing the department and the firm by participating in targeting and lead generation, supporting proposals to new clients, identifying cross‑referral opportunities and agreeing projects with the firm’s existing clients.
- Developing and maintaining an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses, and to fulfil the Institute’s CPD requirements.
