We are searching for an experienced Accounting, Insight & Advisory Assistant Manager to join our team at RSM UK.

As an Assistant Manager in our Accounting, Insight & Advisory (AIA) team, you will be a key member of the growing Finance Function Support team, focusing on private businesses within the Northern region. Your role involves supporting the wider team and assisting managers in delivering services across a portfolio of SME corporate clients, emphasizing annual compliance, relationship building, and problem-solving related to accounting standards under FRS 102 and FRS 105 across various industries.
The department\’s rapid growth offers opportunities for skill development, including business development and coaching junior staff. It also allows for expanding your internal network and collaborating with colleagues across the UK and supporting your local office.
You will make an impact by:
- Supporting managers to deliver high-quality service and outputs to clients
- Managing a portfolio of clients, including client care, project management, and billing
- Building strong relationships with clients as a primary contact
- Leading and supervising assignments as needed
- Training and mentoring junior team members, providing support and feedback
What we are looking for:
We value diverse experiences. Our ideal candidate will have:
- ACA qualification or equivalent
- Experience with UK GAAP, specifically FRS 102 and FRS 105
- Experience in a professional practice, ideally in an accounting advisory team
- Strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements
- Client-facing experience
- Experience supervising junior staff
- Experience with CCH Accounts Production is desirable but not essential
