We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Finance Function Support team in Bristol, to assist managers to profitably deliver Accounting and Financial Reporting work across a portfolio of corporate clients. This role will include complex financial reporting and consolidations and progress to managing a small portfolio of clients.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Acting as day‑to‑day point of contact for clients and practising the principles of excellent client service at all times.
- Manging a small portfolio of corporate clients within the agreed internal budget for the job and addressing any material points identified on assignments with the team.
- Planning assignments in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures and confirming arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
- Ensuring that assignments are undertaken in accordance with instructions, and carrying out complex aspects of the assignment efficiently, thoroughly and in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
What we are looking for:
To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills and experience must include:
- ACA / ACCA part or fully qualified.
- A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting in group scenarios.
- Production of consolidation workbooks.
- Experience of financial statement production software.Working knowledge of corporation tax will also be beneficial.
- Some experience of working within a finance function/department would also be beneficial.
