We are searching for an experienced Audit Quality Assurance Manager in the Financial Services sector. Make an Impact in our Quality Assurance Team at RSM UK.
The Quality Assurance Department (QAD) is an independent department responsible for performing an annual programme of testing to provide assurance that key controls are designed and operating effectively. This includes ensuring compliance with external regulations and standards, and internal procedures.
The department achieves this by reviewing completed engagements and providing feedback to engagement teams, service line management, technical and training departments, and other parties, driving continuous improvement in managing risk and internal controls, and promoting quality and excellence in service delivery. QAD is respected within the firm for its importance, influence, and expertise.
As a Manager, you will design and deliver a programme of audit assurance activities to support the audit business and the wider firm. You will communicate with a wide range of individuals within QAD, the audit business, and other support departments.
We operate a flexible hybrid-working model in the team, focusing on supporting the service lines, which can occasionally involve travel to other UK-based offices.
You will make an impact by:
- Completing audit assurance reviews with focus on financial services clients
- Supporting other QA reviewers, including managers and RIs from the business, with completion of audit assurance reviews
- Completing other QA reviews and activities as needed to provide required assurance to the audit business and wider firm
- Identifying and delivering feedback to relevant parties, including examples of good practice, to support continuous improvement in audit quality
- Identifying and implementing changes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department
What we are looking for:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Experienced Manager with a strong background in financial services engagements
- Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards. Audit regulatory experience is preferential but not essential
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues in a concise and understandable manner
- Ability to share new ideas and challenge current working methods in an appropriate manner
What we can offer you:
- Hybrid working
- Opportunity to develop deep technical knowledge and expertise in core areas of corporate reporting (such as changes in accounting standards) and emerging areas (such as sustainability reporting)
- 27 days holiday (with the option of purchasing additional days)
- Lifestyle, health, and wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits such as financial tools, electric car scheme and access to a virtual GP
- Access to a suite of 300+ courses on demand developed by our in-house talent development team
