Our Tax Technology team is dynamic and fast-paced, offering ample scope for progression and the chance to make a significant impact on RSM nationally, with potential influence on a global scale, driving digital transformation within the Tax business.
As a Tax Technology Assistant Manager in our Birmingham or London office, you will support the development of internal solutions for our Tax Team. You will be involved in the end-to-end delivery of multiple tax technology solutions, collaborating with data analytics, visualization, and automation teams to deliver high-quality, robust outcomes. You will engage in all stages of solution development, from idea generation to rollout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building automations, improving processes, conducting research into emerging technologies, testing, and identifying useful innovations for the tax department.
- Supporting training and upskilling of the tax department to optimize technology use.
- Collaborating with the data analytics community to share knowledge and drive new ideas.
- Proactively participating in technology projects from initiation to deployment.
- Developing technical expertise through personal development.
- Working across service lines to identify new opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Experience in tax technology
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL for data analytics
- Understanding of tax compliance processes
- Proficiency with MS Office
Desirable qualifications include:
- ATT or equivalent qualification
- Experience with Alteryx and certifications
- Knowledge of relational databases and Agile methodology
- Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools
- Understanding of ML algorithms
- Background in Data Analytics or Data Science
- Experience with AI, RPA, etc.
