You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with clients. For companies, you’ll explore how they can maximise post‑tax profits, manage tax risks, harness tax incentives to reduce overall liability, expand their global reach navigating international tax rules, or plan a seamless tax‑efficient exit.

Job Responsibilities

As a placement trainee you will:

  • Collaborate with Team Tax members across the business and engage directly with clients.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of VAT/Indirect Tax, Employer Solutions, Private Client Services, Corporate Tax, Innovation and Creative Sector Reliefs, Transfer Pricing, Capital Allowances, and Tax Investigation work.
  • Assist in building client relationships and contributing to solutions that create value.
  • Develop professional skills such as responsiveness, meeting deadlines, effective communication, and upholding high standards.

What we are looking for

  • Enrolled on a placement degree.
  • Team‑oriented mindset and curiosity about business and financial operations, and the interplay between taxation, personal wealth, and financial goals.
  • Determination to tackle challenges head‑on and apply yourself in readiness for the hard work necessary to pass your exams and become a business adviser.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable with numbers, an analytical mindset, and interest in law.
  • Minimum of 112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification, or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level).
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.

Additional Information
