A career in tax is more than just becoming a tax adviser; you will be part of Team Tax, diving into the intricate world of UK and international tax laws, applying them to real‑life solutions for our clients, helping them save money, mitigate tax risks, navigate complex reporting requirements, and create value.

Your role will involve working directly with clients—both individuals and companies—to uncover the secrets behind family wealth, maximise post‑tax profits, manage tax risks, harness tax incentives, expand global reach, and plan seamless tax‑efficient exits.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across the business and engage directly with clients in the Corporate Tax and VAT departments.
  • Analyse tax positions, provide advice on tax planning and compliance for individuals and companies.
  • Prepare and review tax positions, models, and reporting.
  • Support the delivery of projects to meet client deadlines and uphold high standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Enrolled on a placement degree.
  • Team‑oriented mindset and curiosity about business/financial operations.
  • Determination to tackle challenges and readiness for the hard work required to pass exams and become a business adviser.
  • Effective communication in writing and verbally.
  • Comfortable with numbers, analytical mindset, and interest in law.
  • Minimum 112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or equivalent, or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level).
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.
