We are searching for an experienced Accounting & Financial Reporting Assistant Manager to join our Finance Function Support team in Reading, to assist managers in profitably delivering Accounting and Financial Reporting work across a portfolio of corporate clients. This role will include complex financial reporting and consolidations and progress to managing a small portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as day‑to‑day point of contact for clients and practising the principles of excellent client service at all times.
  • Managing a small portfolio of corporate clients within the agreed internal budget for the job and addressing any material points identified on assignments with the team.
  • Planning assignments in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures and confirming arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
  • Ensuring that assignments are undertaken in accordance with instructions, and carrying out complex aspects of the assignment efficiently, thoroughly and in accordance with the firm’s procedures.

Qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA part or fully qualified.
  • A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience of UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting in group scenarios.
  • Production of consolidation workbooks.
  • Experience of financial statement production software.
  • Working knowledge of corporation tax will also be beneficial.
  • Some experience of working within a finance function/department would also be beneficial.
