Join the PR Executive role to elevate RSM UKโs profile in a competitive market with an innovative and creative strategy, supported by expert commentary. Reporting into a senior PR manager, you will work with senior stakeholders including heads of industry and a diverse group of national commentators to spearhead external communications initiatives, focusing on PR and wider external opportunities. Media outreach targets tier-1 broadcast, national and trade media (integrated with our new media strategy, including social) with expert, data-backed commentary that adds credibility and drives results. This role supports press office activity across corporate reputation, economic, industry and service lines, plus employer brand.
Responsibilities
- Working with heads and senior members of UK industry and service lines
- Providing strategic comms support to corporate positioning to drive growth opportunities in the UK
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with journalists and high-profile influencers
- Training and nurturing key media spokespeople
- Collaborating with the economics team, focusing on positioning RSM as a leading UK economic voice for the middle market
- Monitoring market events, trends and client/competitor activity to inform PR and wider communications strategy
- Writing, scripting and editing press releases, press commentary, long-form opinions, open letters and social media content
- Supporting direct media engagement via research, press launches, surveys, speaker platforms, conferences, and journalist interviews to advance RSMโs corporate narrative
What we are looking for
- University degree/MA in journalism, communications and/or public relations
- 2+ years PR experience in corporate, financial, consumer or agency environments
- Professional, credible and confident communicator with influencing skills
- Strong media awareness, journalistic mindset and eye for a good story
- Self-motivated with ability to work under pressure and at pace
- Competent project and stakeholder management skills and experience
- Proficiency in media databases (e.g., Roxhill, Vuelio) and monitoring tools
- Active team player with a positive outlook
