We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Finance Function Support team in Milton Keynes. This role involves assisting managers with delivering Accounting and Financial Reporting work across a portfolio of corporate clients, including complex financial reporting, consolidations and progressing to managing a small portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as day‑to‑day point of contact for clients and practice principles of excellent client service.
- Manage a small portfolio of corporate clients within the agreed internal budget and address any material points identified on assignments with the team.
- Plan assignments in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
- Ensure that assignments are undertaken in accordance with instructions, carrying out complex aspects of the assignment efficiently, thoroughly and in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
Qualifications
To be considered, your qualifications, skills and experience must include:
- ACA or ACCA part‑qualified or fully qualified.
- Strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting in group scenarios.
- Experience in producing consolidation workbooks.
- Experience with financial statement production software.
- Working knowledge of corporation tax is beneficial.
- Some experience working within a finance function/department is beneficial.
