Join our team at RSM UK as a Global E-Invoicing Associate Director and play a pivotal role in shaping our VAT compliance services across the UK, EU, and beyond. You’ll be at the heart of a dynamic team, ensuring quality and efficiency in tax reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients.
As an Associate Director you will play a key role in shaping and delivering our e-invoicing offering for the mid-market, acting as the primary technical and commercial lead on client conversations. You will work closely with colleagues across the international network, technology teams and third-party solution providers, and will actively support business development through opportunity creation, solution design and proposal support.
You will make an impact by:
- Being a recognised specialist in global e-invoicing and digital reporting, providing clear, practical advice to clients on regulatory requirements, operating models and implementation approaches.
- Being the primary point of contact for client queries relating to e-invoicing mandates, technical design, and solution feasibility.
- Delivering impact-led client discussions, workshops and assessments covering e-invoicing readiness, gap analysis and future-state design.
- Designing and developing a scalable e-invoicing offering for the mid-market, aligned to client needs and market demand.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to define service scope, delivery models, pricing approaches and go-to-market messaging.
- Actively contribute to identifying, shaping and winning new client opportunities within e-invoicing and digital reporting.
- Being a key interface between clients, internal teams and third-party e-invoicing solution providers.
- Translating technical concepts (e.g. data formats, XML structures, APIs and integrations) into clear, business-focused guidance for clients and colleagues.
- Providing oversights and inputs across the lifecycle of e-invoicing engagements, from scoping and design through to testing and go-live, working closely with delivery teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience in global e-invoicing and digital reporting.
- Proven experience advising clients on e-invoicing implementations, regulatory change or technology-enabled compliance.
- Strong understanding of data flows, data formats (including XML and delimited files), and system integrations.
- Experience working with or alongside third-party technology providers and strong understanding of core market players.
- Experience of working within the consultancy services sector is a pre.
- Commercial experience supporting business development, proposals or go-to-market initiatives.
- Background in VAT, indirect tax or financial systems is beneficial but not essential.
