We are looking for a Deputy Risk Officer to work as a Deputy to our Head of Risk & Compliance. As part of a wider risk, compliance, legal, and assurance teams, you would partner with the business to maintain our enterprise risk register. This is much more than an administrative exercise. Our team drives meaningful and impactful change across the business, using risk to identify areas of priority. You will be advising and supporting on key initiatives to manage those risks more efficiently and effectively.

We operate a flexible hybrid-working model in the team, focusing on being where we can most effectively provide support to the service lines, which can occasionally involve travel to other UK-based offices.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Partnering with the business to identify potential risks and facilitating risk assessments.
• Producing regular reporting to key stakeholders to clearly articulate where we are and where we want to get to with risk management.
• Continuously enhancing our risk management framework – defining our Target Operating Model, and delivering impactful improvements to achieve that, such as Key Risk Indicators.
• Conducting regular horizon scanning to ensure that we are aware of and preparing for emerging risks.
• Supporting the Incident Response Team in managing incidents and conducting post-action reviews to continuously enhance the effectiveness of future incident responses.

• Built strong and trusted relationships, whilst also holding people to account to deliver to deadlines.
• A keen eye for detail.
