The Quality Assurance Department (QAD) is an independent department responsibe for performing an annual programme of testing to provide assurance that key controls are designed and operating effectively, ensuring compliance with external regulations and standards, and internal procedures. This is largely achieved by performing reviews of completed engagements and providing feedback to engagement teams, service line management, technical and training departments, and other parties, to drive continuous improvement in managing risk and internal controls, and promote quality and excellence in the delivery of services. QAD is respected within the firm as being important, influential and knowledgeable.
We are looking for an Audit Quality Assurance Manager to join our team and can be based out of any of our regional offices. We operate a flexible hybrid-working model, focusing on being where we can most effectively provide support to the service lines, which can occasionally involve travel to other UK-based offices.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Completing audit assurance reviews with focus on large corporate and listed entities
- Supporting other QA reviewers, including managers and RIs from the business, with completion of audit assurance reviews
- Completing other QA reviews and activities as needed to provide required assurance to the audit business and wider firm
- Identifying and delivering feedback to relevant parties, including examples of good practice, to support continuous improvement in audit quality
- Working with the Quality Assurance Director and other QAD team members to identify and implement changes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department

- Experience working on large corporate and listed audit engagements in an Audit Manager role

- Ability to work independently as well as a team player, able to collaborate with others to achieve shared goals and objectives
