The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
As a Manager in our Gatwick, Reading, Guildford, Southampton or Bristol office, you will manage and control VAT client work including the review and preparation of VAT returns. You will undertake detailed planning and implementation of VAT work, ensuring the provision of an effective and cost driven service to clients in line with budgets. Together with Partners, you will manage the interface between a group of clients and the firm to ensure that the agreed expectations of the clients in terms of service, quality and cost and the firm’s targets are met.
You’ll make an impact by:

Identifying and advising on VAT planning opportunities and undertaking specialist technical assignments.

Identifying, interviewing and converting prospective clients and assisting other departments in the research and preparation of formal proposals for new work.

Being the principal point of contact for clients on VAT queries and work closely with partners, directors and associate directors to manage a client portfolio.

Developing an advanced level of technical knowledge through personal development opportunities.

Working in collaboration across service lines to proactively seek opportunities to generate new business in the region.

Preferably CTA or ATII qualified, or equivalent, ideally with an accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA.

Proven experience in client handling and project management.

Proven indirect tax experience and effective team leadership skills.

An interest or aptitude for business development.
