Responsibilities:
- Being a team player, adopting a 'can-do' attitude and understanding that the best solutions come from collaboration, exchange of ideas and resilience.
- Successfully conducting assignments internationally, while being prepared to work away from home occasionally (approx. 10% of the time).
- Working with public-sector and not-for-profit clients in the UK and overseas; adaptable, proactive, a self-starter.
- May be seconded to a UK government department auditing major change programmes or auditing beneficiary data on a cash transfer programme for economically challenged or strong nations.
Qualifications:
- IIA/ACA qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CMIIA).
- Fluency and ability to conduct assignments in a second language, preferably French.
- Eligibility to undergo UK Government security clearance.
- Robust, post‑qualification experience.
- Level 7 education, ideally a master’s degree.
- Experience of internal audit in the UN or central government/public sector.
- Experience of fraud, procurement, donor grants or financial systems.
- Experience working in or with international not‑for‑profit sectors.
- Ability to undertake overseas travel (around 2‑3 trips a year).
- Experience of institutional grant budget proposal development, compliance, monitoring and reporting.
