Successfully conducting assignments internationally, whilst being prepared to work away from home occasionally (approx. 10% of the time). Working with public-sector and not-for-profit clients both in the UK and overseas. The work is diverse, so you need to be adaptable, proactive and a self-starter. You could be seconded to a UK government department auditing major change programmes or auditing beneficiary data on a cash transfer programme for both economically challenged countries/states or economically strong nations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assignments internationally with readiness to travel and stay away from home as required.
- Collaborate with public-sector and not-for-profit clients in the UK and overseas; adapt to varying sectors and programmes.
What we are looking for / Qualifications
- IIA/ACA qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CMIIA, etc.).
- Fluent and able to conduct assignments in a second language, preferably French.
- Eligible to undergo UK Government security clearance.
- Robust post-qualification experience.
- Level 7 education, ideally a master's degree.
- Experience of internal audit in the UN or central government/public sector.
- Experience of fraud, procurement, donor grants, or financial systems.
- Experience working in/with the international not-for-profit sectors.
- Able to undertake overseas travel (around 2–3 trips a year).
- Experience of institutional grant budget proposal development, compliance, monitoring and reporting.
