We are looking for an Audit Manager to join our Hull office. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients, and you will lead and develop members of the Audit team. As a key leadership figure within the Audit team, you will work closely with the Manager Group and three RI's in the Hull office.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Managing a diverse client portfolio, reporting to multiple Audit RIs and ensuring all work follows firm procedures and quality standards.
  • Planning and delivering audit assignments, coordinating with clients and internal teams on scope, timelines, costs, and billing.
  • Leading and developing audit teams through briefing, oversight, and on‑the‑job training, while liaising with senior client stakeholders.
  • Identifying and resolving key audit matters in consultation with the client, RI, and technical specialists, and preparing and presenting core deliverables at governance meetings.
  • Contributing to business development, recruitment, line management, and wider team activities.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in producing high‑quality audit workpapers.
  • Proven experience in project management and delivering great commercial outcomes on projects.
  • Proven experience in client handling, including challenging situations.
  • Proven experience in line‑managing junior colleagues in an audit team environment with positive development outcomes.
