As an Assistant Manager you will be an integral part of a high‑performing tax compliance and advisory team based in Gatwick, Bristol, Guildford, Reading or Southampton. You will support and advise a range of companies across sectors such as technology, manufacturing, leisure and tourism, retail, professional services and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high‑quality annual corporation tax compliance service to a portfolio of clients, reviewing computations and tax for accounting disclosures and serving as the main point of contact for client queries.
  • Provide technically accurate, clear and concise tax advice on issues such as loss relief, interest relief, transfer pricing, R&D tax relief, capital allowances, group reorganisations, shareholder reorganisations, international tax matters and acquisitions & disposals.
  • Assist colleagues in other departments to deliver a high‑quality service and to identify tax‑related risks and opportunities, including working with the transactions team on tax due diligence projects and with the restructuring advisory team on distress or insolvency cases.
  • Continuously improve your skills and knowledge, embracing your own development and coaching junior team members.

Qualifications & Experience

  • ACA, ACCA and/or CTA (part) qualified.
  • Background in an accountancy practice with strong knowledge of corporate tax.
  • Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience of using specialist tax software is advantageous.
