Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a tax valuation role at a leading accountancy, law, or consulting firm.
  • Relevant professional qualification, for example, ATT, CTA, ACA, or Solicitor.
  • Proven experience in client handling and project management.
  • Experience in producing exceptional quality work for demanding clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leading on the needs of a diverse range of clients in providing tax valuation advice.
  • Providing significant client contact and leadership to junior colleagues.
  • Meeting with clients to discuss their tax valuation needs.
  • Leading on the preparation, and reviewing, of share valuations for tax purposes including for tax‑advantaged share plans, other awards of employment‑related securities, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and corporation tax transactions.
  • Designing and implementing valuation models for complex equity structures including private‑equity backed companies and growth share structures.
  • Continuing to build strong capability within our team, recognising and responding to strengths of individuals and client requirements.
  • Working alongside our RSM colleagues from across the world to provide advice on international share incentive structures.
  • Briefing junior staff on the client's business and the pre‑project instructions, supervising, and controlling the completion of work, and undertaking "on the job" training and appraisals where necessary.
