The successful candidate will become our newest Tax Technology Assistant Manager within our 'data pipeline and platform delivery' capability group. Working in London, Birmingham or Chelmsford you will play a pivotal role in supporting the continued development and increasing deployment of our client-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and enhancing data pathways between systems.
- Ensuring accurate and value‑added deployment of platforms with our highest value clients.
- Pro‑actively contributing to ongoing work to develop and enhance our systems, including instigating new‑build design projects where beneficial.
- Collaborating with other Tax Digital Services teams and RSM professionals globally.
- Joining complex and wide‑ranging technology projects and contributing to product delivery.
- Working directly with the tax technology leadership team, playing a pivotal role in the continued development of our technology service offering within our Tax business.
- Contributing to client RFP exercises as well as tax technology proposals.
- Developing an advanced level of technical knowledge through personal development opportunities.
- Communicating how the technology solutions you design and deliver will benefit our client experience.
- Contributing to the development of junior members of the team.
- Mapping and deploying data pathways within the system, setting up new client environments, populating and customising large volumes of client database records for action tracking, developing Power BI dashboards and providing ad‑hoc client support.
- Training and upskilling junior team members in data analytics and automation technologies.
- Providing customer service to colleagues and clients, and playing an instrumental role in the commercial deployment of technology‑enhanced tools and solutions to support core service lines across all taxes.

- Experience and knowledge of tax compliance processes and their interaction with data drawn from Financial Reporting or ERP systems.
- Practical knowledge of technology support structures and risk management frameworks.
- Experience with relational database design and best practice.
- Familiarity with Agile development.
- Experience with data infrastructure and incident response processes.
- Familiarity with data analytics solutions and processes.
- Awareness of data acquisition methods (SFTP, API, etc.).
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualisation products.
- Awareness of AI solutions and technologies, and willingness to learn more about their usage for internal and client solutions.
- Proficiency with typical business technologies such as Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Fabric, etc.
Desirable Qualifications
- ATT or equivalent technical qualification.
- DITT or other relevant tax technology qualification.
- Alteryx qualification.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of classical ML algorithms.
- Data Analytics and/or Data Science background.
- Experience in developing technologies (AI, ML, RPA, etc.).
- Knowledge of common Reporting or ERP systems.
