This role provides the opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to join our growing Accounting, Insight and Advisory (AIA) team within the Finance Function Support solution. The AIA team delivers accounting solutions, innovative financial insights, and process/system optimisation, focusing on enhancing efficiency, driving growth and ensuring regulatory compliance. Your work will support a diverse client base, including corporates, owner‑managed businesses and not‑for‑profit entities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of AIA services on a portfolio of clients, collaborating with other service lines and reporting to the Client Relationship Partner on advisory and client care matters.
- Manage the working capital of these services, including budgeting, cost management, billing and debt recoverability.
- Plan resources effectively and brief team members so service and project delivery complies with RSM’s quality guidelines and procedures.
- Actively coach, develop, and line‑manage junior team members, including staff appraisals and oversight of work completed by managers, supervisors and assistants.
- Engage in business development: contribute to department growth, support client targeting and lead generation, assist in proposals to new clients, identify cross‑referral opportunities and secure projects with existing clients.
- Maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through ongoing reading and training, and fulfil Institute CPD requirements.

Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent.
- Extensive experience as a line manager with proven team‑management skills.
- Proven ability to contribute to business development, with a track record of leading or being part of a work‑winning team.
- Experience managing a diverse portfolio of client work within a professional practice.
- Excellent communication skills and a history of building lasting client relationships.
- Adaptable and collaborative team player, comfortable working at all levels from trainee to partner.
