VAT Director Make an Impact within our VAT team at RSM UKOur VAT specialists work closely with colleagues across the firm to provide a joined-up service to a diverse range of clients, from middle market businesses to large corporations, combining expertise in accounting, audit and all relevant taxes.

As a national VAT practice, we provide the freedom to find the right balance between sector specialism and general advisory, as well as an opportunity to initiate and develop new areas of focus for the team.

As a Director in our London office, you will be a senior leader within the VAT practice, working closely with Partners to drive client service excellence, commercial performance and sustainable growth.

You will lead significant client relationships, oversee complex and high-profile engagements, and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the team.

As a fast-growing faculty, there are significant opportunities to expand existing client relationships, win new business and influence the development of our VAT offering.

The role will involve leading business development activity, support strategic growth initiatives and develop future leaders within the practice, whilst ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence and client service.

You’ll make an impact by: Leading on complex VAT advisory matters and providing strategic advice to clients across a broad range of industries.

Acting as a trusted adviser to clients and leading significant client relationships across your portfolio.

Driving the growth of the practice through proactive business development, identifying new opportunities and converting market relationships.

Leading due diligence and complex project work whilst maintaining oversight of quality, risk and commercial performance.

Taking accountability for the successful delivery, profitability and growth of a substantial client portfolio Working collaboratively with Partners across the firm to identify cross service line opportunities and bring the full breadth of RSM's offering to clients.

Sponsoring and developing Associate Directors, Managers and future leaders, building capability and succession within the team.

Raising the profile of RSM in the market through networking, thought leadership, speaking opportunities and client engagement activities.

Driving technical excellence and supporting the development of the wider VAT team through coaching, knowledge sharing and technical leadership.

Championing innovation, continuous improvement and digital adoption to enhance client outcomes and team effectiveness.
