Ethics and Independence DirectorWe are searching for an experienced Ethics and Independence DirectorMake an Impact at RSM UK Working in the Ethics Team, you will work alongside othersenior members of the team and support the ethics partner to help deliver onthe team's strategy.We are looking for an Ethics and Independence Director to support the Independence team deliveron RSM's responsibilities in complying with independence and ethicsrequirements generally and, in particular, advise the Tax and Consultingservice lines to develop their systems and processes.The principal responsibilities for this role include:Respondingto ethical and independence queries and consultations from partners andmembers of staff from across the firm where they relate to non-auditservices. This involves regular contact with senior members of the firmand resolving their queries accurately and efficiently.Designand implementation of systems and controls, ISQM1 requirements, andin delivering the overall ethics function's strategy.Tolead individual projects to enhance the Independence Team's systems andprocesses.Tofurther enhance KPI reporting.Tolead the Independence Team's strategy and develop the integration of theGlobal Independence Assessment (GIA) within RSM's client engagementsoftware.Toenhance the monitoring of data within GIA with a view to improving itsaccuracy and quality.Enhanceways of working, bringing ideas and solutions to the Ethics Team anddeveloping systems and processes to ensure that they are efficient anduser friendly such that they assist client teams to comply.Managingmore junior members of the team in co-ordinating projects and inresponding to queries. To work to with other teams (IT, risk andcompliance) to deliver system projects.Providingteam oversight and guidance and management reporting / escalation. Maintainingand updating the firm's ethical and independence guidance and policy inrespect of the FRC's Ethical Standard, IESBACode of Ethics and otherregulatory standards.Developingrelevant and practical learning materials on ethical and independencematters.Assistingthe Ethics Partner responding to regulator queries and annual compliancetesting, ensuring that programmes deliver on quality and meet deadlines.Writing articlesand other materials on ethical matters for internal andexternal communications.Deliveringtraining sessions internally across all streams.
