Overview
As a VAT Director in London, you will lead the VAT practice and shape client service excellence across diverse industries. You’ll drive sustainable growth by expanding client relationships, overseeing high-profile engagements, and identifying cross-service opportunities with the firm. The role combines deep VAT advisory expertise with leadership to develop future leaders and raise the team’s market profile. You will work closely with Partners to deliver technical excellence, innovate processes, and support strategic growth. Responsibilities
- Lead on complex VAT advisory matters and provide strategic guidance to clients
- Act as trusted adviser and lead significant client relationships across the portfolio
- Drive practice growth through proactive business development and opportunity identification
- Oversee due diligence and complex project work with focus on quality, risk and commercial performance
- Ensure delivery profitability and growth of a substantial client portfolio
- Collaborate with Partners to identify cross-service line opportunities and leverage RSM's full offering
- Sponsor and develop Associate Directors, Managers and future leaders
- Raise RSM's market profile through networking, thought leadership and client engagement
- Support technical excellence and the wider VAT team's development through coaching and knowledge sharing
- Champion innovation, continuous improvement and digital adoption to enhance outcomes
