Overview

Technology Audit Specialist - Graduate - London - September 2026

Join our audit technology team and make an impact from day one. Our graduate programme not only equips you with the necessary skills to thrive but provides the support to unlock a future packed with opportunities and intriguing experiences. You\\\'ll start studying towards your Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification after a couple of years of practical experience. This is to help you best relate to the content and set you up to succeed. CISA is a globally recognised certification for information systems audit control, assurance and security professionals and RSM will sponsor you in gaining this qualification.

As a member of the Technology Audit team, from day one, you\\\'ll be using your ability to understand the technology a client uses and how it supports their business. You\\\'ll be assessing what can go wrong, and how it might impact the business. You will test the client\\\'s controls as a crucial part of RSM\\\'s audit procedures and report findings within our team and to the client. Your view will be listened to and counted on from the beginning.

Our fundamental purpose is to drive business and investor confidence through assurance over annual financial reporting. We do this through making a crucial contribution to audits in a business world that is heavily technology enabled. Our role is to translate what systems do and how they do it, to ensure we perform high quality audits, in short to demystify what is inside, increasingly large, \"black boxes\". What we do is imperative to an accurate audit risk assessment, which means we do the right audit procedures in the right places. We are also key to a smarter audit approach that mirrors how client\\\'s run their businesses and gives back value to those clients through insights on better controls and more efficient processes.

What you will do

  • Becoming a key member of our team from day one, you will have the opportunity to engage in client work very quickly, initially as part of a growing team, across our two main hubs in London and Birmingham before taking on individual responsibility for projects.
  • Working with a wide variety of clients, including large, listed companies, national retail chains, and high-profile charities, as well as some of our international clients that operate throughout the UK and beyond.
  • Working as part of the team, you\\\'ll be using your ability to understand the technology our clients use and how it supports their business.

Note: Please note, RSM does not accept General Studies, AS levels or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). The start date for this role is on 22 September 2026. Our start dates are mandatory due to the internal and professional training you receive upon joining the firm, to offer you the best start to your career with us.

What we can offer you

  • When you join our small but growing team, you\\\'ll enjoy a powerful combination of on-the-job learning and structured training - not to mention an impressive client list to work with. Our Technology Audit programme will support you in learning and developing the required skills in becoming a Technology Audit Specialist.
  • You\\\'ll work towards the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification.
  • You\\\'ll be enrolled in our tailor made Evolve development programme and have access to an online learning portal where you can enhance your digital and interpersonal skills.
  • You\\\'ll also have access to lifestyle, health, and wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits which you can tailor to your requirements.

Following changes to government policy in April 2024, we only accept applications from individuals with an existing, permanent, right to live and work in the UK for this role.

Disclaimer: RSM will only take one application into consideration per recruitment cycle. We do not accept multiple applications to different vacancies.

Location: London | Employment type: Graduate, Permanent | Division: Audit

This will be a hybrid-based role, which will include time being spent at the office and/or at a client site. This gives you the opportunity to build relationships with your colleagues and get the development and support in the early stages of your career.

What we are looking for

We think passion, personality and originality are important to thrive at RSM. We\\\'re on the lookout for enthusiastic self-starters who are always up for a challenge. What separates us from our competitors is the IT and financial acumen we demonstrate, and we expect that right from the start from our people. You\\\'ll have an interest in technology and your skills, experience and qualifications will also include:

  • 112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification, or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level) and an obtained/predicted honours degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel (you will be working on client sites).
  • Technology Audit is a technology focused and constantly evolving area, so we look for students who are quick to grasp new concepts and enjoy variety.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
