RSK RAW, part of the RSK Group, offers multi-disciplinary environmental protection and risk reduction services to a wide range of industries across the UK. We specialise in spill response, contamination investigation, and remediation projects.

Duties and Expectations

  • Meet client service level agreements and ensure project targets are met.
  • Responsible for project-driven invoicing.
  • Partake in responding to RAW’s 24-hour helpline on a weekly rota basis.
  • Undertake fieldwork and manage others in accordance with RAW quality system and standard operating procedures, including supervision and spot checks of field staff.
  • Prepare complex technical reports, letters, proposals, and general correspondence for director/principal review prior to client delivery.
  • Project direction and supervision of staff working on local office projects, including technical management and cost appraisal.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects, meeting agreed budgets, delivery deadlines, and client communication requirements.
  • Manage staff’s technical, commercial, and project management responsibilities while maintaining staff motivation.
  • Provide technical management of all staff in responsible office(s) and review projects with clients as required.
  • Identify and manage commercial risk issues in your office(s), advising others on proactive risk management and supporting implementation of risk strategies.
  • Demonstrate financial and market awareness, guiding staff to save costs wherever possible to improve competitiveness, market position, and profitability.
  • Occasionally undertake additional work necessary to meet business needs without additional remuneration.

Additional Information

  • We operate a 24/7 response service; you may be required to work outside normal operating hours, for which you are compensated.
  • Travel is required throughout England, Scotland, and Wales.
  • Incident response and tank testing training is provided; other training and development opportunities are available.
  • There are opportunities for collaborative working with other Response and Remediation businesses within the RSK Group.

Qualifications / Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • A degree level qualification in science, environment, land, or related subject.
  • Membership of a professional body.
  • Flexible attitude to work.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to deliver the requirements of this role.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and on your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • CSCS card.
  • Full UK / EC driving licence (essential).
